Lisa Lutz

Lisa has been married to her soul-mate Adam for 8 months. Together they have started their own business in Winchester, VA called Cardio Xpress. She loves to work out, spend time outdoors and help others achieve their health and fitness goals. Lisa has her Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Nutrition, Foods & Exercise: Exercise & Health Promotion from Virginia Tech and works full-time as an Account Manager for the SilverSneakers Program in Northern Virginia, DC and Maryland.

Lisa’s platform is Heart Disease Prevention: Dispelling the Myths, Revealing the Truth. Heart Disease is the # 1 cause of death in the United States. It does not discriminate, as it effects every age, gender and race. It is for these reasons that Lisa has dedicated the past 8 years as a spokesperson for the Mid-Atlantic Region of the American Heart Association. She has passed two Resolutions in the state of Virginia encouraging Virginia’s to adapt healthier lif estyles through proper nutrition and physical activity. Lisa’s goal as Mrs. Virginia Unites States 2008 is to work closely with the Heart Truth Campaign and help give women a personal and urgent wakeup call about their risk of heart disease. Her objective is to add life to the years and years to the lives of Virginias by working throughout the state and nation to dispel the myth and reveal the truth about the preventable realities of heart disease in America.
